Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is a geological wonder. Millions of years ago a volcano the size of Mt Kilimanjaro imploded. What remains is one of the world's largest unbroken calderas. After driving up the side of the crater, you reach the rim and gaze into an enclosed valley below. The floor of the caldera attracts a large number and variety of animals, and is therefore an exciting safari destination.
